Workers in Siemens’ Austria software division may go on strike because of threatened lay-offs, it emerged yesterday (Tues).
Workers’ council President Ataollah Samadani, who represents employees in both the information technology and software development (SIS) divisions, said that “unconfirmed information has it that workers in some SIS areas will be laid off owing to the merger of the two divisions.”
